Hey folks,

After having played about 10 gigs with nmg2 without any problems and falling in love with it, plugging an unstable HDMI cable next to the MacBook's USB port messed up the connection with nmg2 editor and now it's basically not seeing any hardware even if I change the ports/cables etc. It just doesn't get recognized.

I am quite sad about this and wanted to ask you for the possible actions I should be taking in order to revive it.

As I've been reading, people say that it may be damaged USB control chip, possibly from static discharge but that the corresponding USB chip "ISP1181BDGG" is marked as obsolete at Mouser hence hard to find(?).

Do you have any clues which sort of places I should take this to repair?

Hoping for some from the veterans

Many thanks & love
v

Try using a very short usb cord. That might get it to work.
