The topics about the Klee sequencers are very intersting. I have played with shift registers for a long time. They are really lots of fun. Here is a very simple patch that uses one 8 bit shift register as the source for the notes.

You can load the SR by manually pressing a button, or by letting the SR check a LFO. You can also clear the SR. This is done with the 4 stage push button switch.

The first 4 bits of the SR go to a 4 bit ADC. The last 4 bits go to a second ADC. The way they are hooked up, it should be aparent that second ADC's output is the same as the first, but delayed by 4 clock cycles.

I have run the ADCs into a coupld of control sequences so you can see a readout of the outputs. You can see that even though the output appears to be random, the second voice is a canon - delayed version of the first.

This is meant as a demo, not a finished patch. I hope you enjoy it and maybe start using shift registers more in your patches. Maybe you'll invent the next sequencer...
