Ignore it. He is kinda making a stab at us being commercial. I reckon he thinks we are putting him out of business. Laughing

Anyways, the ÜberKlee does seem to be the kind of thing which would a be a great addition to any modular system.

I'm having a stroke here. Commercial? Commercial!?

Bloody stupid commercial venture, if you ask me. Six employees, hundreds of man hours of work for $800 dollar gross profit, give or take, which ends up being donated to the community, before the employees are paid anything.

Yes, it's a stroke, I'm certain of it. Must....seal......lips............

We could of course sell spiked steel baseball bats in the electro-music.com store? It seems like we can expect a growing demand.

I think he needs to be in business before we can put him out. That QFG is starting to get long in the tooth, and, as Thomas pointed out, it's a project that could easily be perfboarded with very little effort.

But +1 on the spiked steel helmets!!

Edit: Helmuts? Yeah, that stroke is kicking in.

Well, seems like we at least know for sure that Randal isn´t a moving target. He is drawing panel layouts in a frenzy while is his 85 year old mother is out shopping the latest batch of cocaine laden icecream and rubber gloves.

Randal is certainly having issues. I signed up for his quadrature VCO not knowing any background, but of course that happens. I got a bit of a cluebat upside the head from Mr Stein, but I'm going to leave the order in for the paypal link. I'll have to pay him sometime.

He's participating though, like a normal guy. I know he's a leech, but is there no redemption?

Just wondering.

Well, sure.. Randal can continue doing what he does now. I won´t mind. Redemption? Is that relevant? The main problem is Randal himself. We shouldn´t attempt to be his group therapy crew. As long as we keep ourself and him out iof the most obvious trouble everything will be just fine.

well, I've noticed the DIY bunch has been snarky from time to time. One reason we've seen the exodus and lots of good words to the community here. ; and Scott's open letter made it plain, over in the TH forum.

Group Therapy? I don't think that's the point. He's pissed off some people but he outwardly projects a nice denial field. And posts helpful hints in the forums. I don't think he's a poser or anything, really. I'm less cynical than most, of course.

I think you are right, that he is being himself basically, but I think he got carried away a bit into hyperventilation, through enthusiasm probably.

I don´t feel like kicking his ass even more. Either he delivers or he doesn´t. Time will tell. He is clearly having issues.

I agree. His enthusiasm tripped over his ability to deliver in a timely fashion. Add some negative comments to make him even more unstable, you get the picture. I'd love to know what he does for a living.

Probably will find out eventually. We all figure it out sooner or later.

So I'm still waiting for the paypal instructions. I'll research when a paypal goes through. Wink

I'm repeating myself here, but anonymity has its place - when people are asking questions or exchanging bits of information, a "handle" is good enough. When you're approaching someone with a business deal or the permission to obtain "exclusive rights" to their work, first-name-only, a Yahoo email address, and living somewhere in California is not the basis for a relationship of that sort. And, more to the point, that should be patently obvious to anyone of a certain age. I can't imagine it was enthusiasm that made him leave out those details. There may be a number of reasons, but I can't think of one that would be good enough. He's got my name, where I live, who I am. I've got bupkus.

I don't think that will necessarily work. Unless I'm mistaken, you can complete an entire transaction with someone by Paypal and never know their name. You may get an address, but that may even be just a PO box.

He's leaving me alone, and I'm happy about that. I have nothing against redemption, but it'll take a while for me to steel myself for another PM barrage. I can't keep up with what I've got already.

But, in fact, I'll have to deal with him in the near future. He's got two sets of Klee boards reserved.

Scott, you do not know how well I can research. I am already on the case.

By the way, you will have to ship those Klee boards somewhere.

So I guess I'm not overly nosy when I google-Mapped his address. Sorry...bad habit of mine....I'm really a geography-junkie. If you ever want to google-Earth my address, go ahead...it's actually a very pleasant part of the world (16131 Highland Drive, Spring Lake, Michigan 49456, USA)......

Anyway, Randal wanted some issues of Polyphony so I traded some chips for them. It is a typical suburb of Sacramento...very middle class, (or Leave it To Beaver as Thomas might say). Interestingly, he still didn't provide his last name....like it might be Hitler or Stalin or something. If you really feel you need his address, pls PM me and I'll advise. The houses and yards are very small by Midwestern standards such as Thomas, Scott or myself would expect, but probably on par real estate-value-wise with mine. California houses and yards (gardens) are not very good value compared to most of the USA....pretty bad actually.

Aren't all good Norwegians in bed by now? (don't answer that!)

Anyway, here's the address he gave me:

GeoM
(Attn: Randal)
8320 Canyon Oaks
Citrus Heights CA 95610

I did not google GeoM yet, though.
