Measurement? |

I need a key of sorts to explain all these different measurements for module sizes.
HE?
HU?
TE?
I'm lost. Tried searching, but got all sorts of other stuff. Good, but not what I was hoping for. If you know a link or site that can explain this stuff that would be neato! |

So when Doepfer says "It requires 16 TE/HP worth of space to fit in a Eurorack frame", they mean it requires 16/5 or 3.1 inches? I assume thats width as they are most likely all the same height (duh).
What is the difference in TE and HP? Those were not in my original post, probably just got them confused. Why would they mention both?
Why do they want to mess with my brain?!?!?

1. You can find a lot of these answers yourself. On Doepfer's English home page is link to Mechanical details.
http://www.doepfer.de/a100_man/a100m_e.htm
2. Given that 1 HP is 1/5" then multiplication dictates that 16 HP is 3.2"
3. TE is the German equivalent of HP. Compare the German nd English pages on Doepfer's site, you'll see this right away.
Another acronym you might run across soon is RTFM but we don't need to go in to that now. |

Just downloaded the Doepfer manual and stumbled on it by mistake.
It's probably safe to assume that the other terms I see are most likely = in measurement to Doepfer's HP as long as the are euro format.
Cool. Clears things up a bit. Now to start designing my case.
