Hello.

I was browsing through the factory patches when Vocopad (by Zon Vern Pyles) caught my eyes (or rather my ears).

As usual I thought, I can do better. And who is this Zon guy anyway, he can't have worked very hard with the variations on that patch!

Time to eat some humble pie Embarassed

It is an extremely clever patch and it is not all that intuitive to coax out the best of it. I take my hat off to you Zon wherever you are.

That said, I still have some chance of redemption because it is a rather expensive patch at over 60% CPU.

The chorus could be moved to the FX area with just a little loss of stereo spread. All the expensive oscillators were replaced by cheaper versions and I added another osc & lfo to the ctrl-input. I also made the new osc some variable keyboard tracking.

With 1% to spare I got it down under 50% and went from 8 to 15 voices.

All that mucking about with the vocoder sidetracked me into doing this post Some facts about the vocoder

I hope I have managed to get a decent spread of timbres in the variations.

Enjoy.

/Falk

Sorry, bit of a noob - where is the audio input?
I'm getting no sound out of this as is.
