Time for a necro post on this .. as the ambiophonics module went out of the store (I know it was not the same as the one described in this thread) I got reminded to it again, and decided to make a module of the one described here for my Wren soft synth.

Added settable delay for it from 0 - 320 us and then added width modulation too.

Seems to work pretty nice on my laptop speakers - so going to keep it in Smile

It currently uses linear interpolation on the delay line length and that seems to work fine. The width was implemented by attenuating the delayed signals - which was not clear from the sketch but seems fine that way. The balance I've just copied from my stereo pan module - seems ok too, could have skipped that one as there is a module for it already.

Anyway ... a bit late, but .. thanks Howard for 'open sourcing' this Cool

Re. Wren, it is not in the current release, it will be in the next one .. as soon I get to recollect all the changes made to it sofar ...

Looks to me that you figured it out correctly. When it "comes out" I'll check it out and provide necessary feedback if necessary.

BTW this one sounds pretty good even when compared to the commercial one. Smile

I've included it in the current pre-release : https://bluehell.nl/blogje/ (2022.5.14.0) - it is not in the full release (2022.5.2.0) yet.

This needs some instructions Laughing

Make sure to first read https://bluehell.nl/wren/wiki/doku.php?id=installation - as you can not install Wren in windows owned folders (or rather ... you can, with some trickery, but it will not work).

When you do not have Wren yet, or when you have have an older installation, you'll first have to do a full installation of Wren by using the installation software, and then do an update to the pre-release version from within Wren itself (from it's Help menu).

Some info about that process is here: https://bluehell.nl/wren/wiki/doku.php?id=download

When you already have a pretty recent Wren installation the installer tools will already be present - as can be seen in Wren's Help menu - it will have an item 'Install pre-release' in that case.

There have been virus warnings on the installer software - but this should be cleared now - and otherwise : it is a false positive from bitdefender .. you know .. the software gets stuff from the webs and puts it on a local drive .. very very bad Evil or Very Mad

The actual installer is here : https://bluehell.nl/wren/

And the actual module is to be found on the Utility tab - or you can use ctrl+f to search for mambi.

Also I've changed the delay line interpolation to be AllPass instead of Linear - which gives less coloration on delay time changes.

Ok .. end of this book Rolling Eyes
