hi guys, i have a somewhat beginners question.
i am interested in building a modular synth, but since many of the modules are way more expensive than i could afford, and i am significantly more proficient with soldering iron than with a wallet, i would like to start it by building several modules from "Music from outer space" kits, as they seem affordable.
ok, the question is:
i know there are different standards in modular synthesis, and that some of the main differences are the size of jacks, and CV standard. are there other differences, and most importantly, is the MFOS system compatible with doepfer's modules regarding CV and operating voltages??
i ask this as there are some modules from them which i would buy in the future.
thanks guys!!!

Hi dogmeat -

As far as I know you will be fine. I think the standards for CV's are the same. Most MFOS modules will work on either 12 or 15 volt supply, with a few resistor changes, if anything.

Good luck on the build! My first builds were MFOS - it's a good starting point.
