Quadrophenia
The Who
MCA 100004
Released: October 1973
Chart Peak: #2
Weeks Charted: 40
Certified Gold: 10/29/73

I had a parka like that and wanted to write "the Who" on the back but my mom did not let me do it Rolling Eyes I love that album: the girl that became my wife noticed me at a party while I was mimicking Keith Moon's drumming with a pair of drumsticks on a sofa Very Happy Isn't that cute Question

I like the Quadrophenia double album too. Was this one ever filmed?

Weren't they big into quadraphonic sound? I remember that Tommy had quad sound in the theaters. I guess nobody but me can remember when Tommy first hit the theaters. It was great.

Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon put on the best, biggest, loudest, most incendiary live show ever performed. (They still hold the record for loudest concert ever measured at, as I recall, 115dB.)

If I remember correctly I saw it in 1975. I cannot remember the sound system they used here.. it was probably mono.. I think I also remember that some of the lyrics had been rewritten. There was something wrong with "Pinball Wizard",.. and possibly some others..

The quad sound might have been just at select theaters. I remember not being impressed by that, but I really enjoyed the movie.
