hello there,
i've just purchased a Nord Rack 2 and I am just getting to grips with the functions. i've encountered a problem when trying to trigger notes from my MIDI keyboard which is plugged directly into the MIDI In on the synth.
Everytime I hit a key there is a difference in the sound compared to what comes through when I press the TRIG button. It seems like there is another sound layered on top of what I should be hearing.
I hope someone knows how to get rid of this problem
Thanks

welcome stephenbloe

Just by mails it is hard to find out what is happening.
Some options:
1. there is a Midi Through loop. Is there anywhere on the components you use a switch or a button able to make settings regarding Trough?
2. the Trigger only works to selected Slots, which means LED(s) are on and one is blinking, which indicates the knobs on the penal will control that Program. All Slots always react to incoming Midi, even when NOT selected, so maybe one of the non-selected Slots have the same Midi channel, so the trigger doesn't control it, but the Midi does.
3. I think the 'leftmost Midi channel', if it is available in your synth, doesn't have any influence on this problem, because this only concerns selected Slots, which is equeal to the Trigger and Midi Controller.

Something to try out...

Wout
