Do you have a PCMCIA card inserted?
Lead2 or Lead2X?

That's the reason why you can't reach banks 1, 2 and 3. You need to extaend the memory.
Now you are only able to store 40 programs and NO Performances at all...
A, B, C and D are Slots. Let's say they are four separated synthizers.
They all share the memory, so 99 different Programs for you, from which 40 are RAM.
The Performance memory (press Perf.mode) is only ROM.
Just scroll to Performance A1 and see only Slot A and B are
active, whicg means their Led's are lit, but most of all, you can control it using the Keyboard..., uh, sorry, you have a Rack! Anyway , when you hit the A button, you'll find the memory location 1.11 and in B 1.22. In Performance mode this means the Program was once on a PCMCIA card, but now it is save in Performance mode itself. That was the moment also the location name was saved. Funny, when you use a PCMCIA card and while holding the A button and scroll using the arrows, the memory will go to Program memory 1.12 and plays that sound. This can be used in action
Not using a PCMCIA card you will scroll to P9, the highest Program memory location.
Get yourself a PCMCIA card as soon as possible…

hi wout, thnx a lot for your helpfull informations.
as i have understood i don't have more then 99 sounds (+P kits) as far as i don't have the expansion PCMCIA card. then i can dump more banks and use with my Nord Rack 2.
i have written already to the Memorix ELktronik with PCMICIA price question.
best

Maybe I answered to hasty, because I don't know how you have planned to use the Rack. There is a tool, Windows bound, at http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/020_NordLead2/023_Miscellaneous/NordGenerator_Editor/
which is able to handle Programs.
You can use it to save to the Hard Disk (on synth Dump one);
yoy can see the parameter settings (nice to understand what's happening) and
you can upload to the synth from the Hard Disk.
The PCMCIA card is for on stage.
In the studio it's nice, but the computer can help you out. (almost infinity archiving)
