bank disappeared |
 |
|
Hi
Big problem. When I turned on my Nord lead 3 the first performance bank was gone. If I play f.ex performance 1;15 the 2;15 is played instead. All the performances from 1rst bank is gone.
Have anyone been through this disaterous problem? It worked last time I used it and the memory protect is on.
How can it disappear like that? |

It can be a failure in the memory chip.
It happened to me with the Nord Modular Classic.
Even the numbers are strange.
Can you save new patches in the Bank?
If not, try to re-install the OS
If this doesn't work either, I think the chip is fried...
I hope you made a back-up of that Bank...

Yep!
It was the Dutch prime minister who told me to help as much as possible because there is one thing we Dutch are afraid of...
Flying Rabbits!

Surely something like this could help?

Hmm, those performances where home made. Dont think they will be found in any collective file.I have kept them safe from bank managers and bonus robbers all these years but now there gone anyway.
I have to start thinking of saving the banks like you smart people. This System Exclusive for mac I thought, didn't work with Mac. It certainly work with my G2X. How to use it with NL3? ( do I really have to read the manual? - kiddig).
Would be great if I could just midi dump all the nL3 to a file in my Mac thru an interface and store as a mac file and put it in the bank...
Or mayby I sould start laying pan flute instead - no technology...
Many sage thoughts there! |

Yep, I understand your frustrations...
Anyway, sharing your work with others isn't a bad thing, but it's voluntary, though.
That librarian doesn't work on Mac?
It should.
[Shift+DumpOne] does the trick on your machine.
Just realize it's also important to know which side of the pan flute you have to blow: you have to think too!
BTW, Jan... (Blue Hell)
When replying the window 'Topic Review' lost some posts...

| well its just that after down loading that file - when trying to open it it crasches, time after time. Then I have to consider getting a PC or a sequencer, what sequencer would you recommend? |

That's a hard question...
I still use CuBase V1.0, the one which introduced colors in the windows
Any sequencer will do, as long it accepts SysEx. Better search the Mac community, because I'm sure somebody released a freeware one.
BTW If you answer and scroll down to the Toic Review window, do you also see the first five posts? Blue Hell with the bank joke is on top, at least, on my screen...
And Blue Hell is probably still asleep (sunday morning 10.30 local time here)

Yes I do.
