Hello forum!

I'm really thinking about taking the modular plunge but while there is a great deal of choice of systems/modules, there's very little opportunity to 'try before you buy'.

I'm in Plymouth in Devon, UK and I wondered if there were any readers who have, or know of someone who has any kind of modular system within about 50 miles of me who would be willing to show it off for the price of pub lunch?

I know Analogue Systems is down the road in St. Austall, and my employers recently invested in a superb AS Integrator 8500, so I know that system well (it's superb by the way, although one of that size would be far outside my own price range). I also know there's a chap called TJ, near Newton Abbot with a MOTM, but I can't find any contact details for him, plus of course both Peter Forrest and EMS are not far off also...

I was really after things like DotCom, MOTM, Doepfer, Cwejman, Cynthia etc. so I can compare them to the AS I know well. Can anyone help?!

Currently I'm thinking Doepfer with maybe a few compatible bits from elsewhere, only because my budget is so limmited (as I say, the AS I use at work is quite wonderful but I'd love some comparisons so I know the market better around my price point).

Many thanks,
all the best,
Phin

p.s. Bob Williams at AS was and is incredibly helpful and generous with his time, throughout the whole specification process, through delivery and installation and his continued support as we learn the system.
