retrigger LFO |
 |
|
Hey all. It's been a while.
Little question: Can I retrigger my LFO1 on every new key down?
I want to make a slow "pieuuw" sound (pitch dropping down), and was thinking of using a sawtooth wave as LFO and let it slowly decrease the pitch of my oscilators. But I want it to restart everytime I press a key.
Or is there another( better) way to do this?
I'm Using the NL2 by the way... _________________ The sound of a crow reverberates trough the mist. |

You can't retrigger a LFO.
The only modulator on the NL2 which can be retriggered is the ModEnv.
Most 'pieuuuw' like sounds are made using a envelope generator.
Set the Attack to [0] and the Decay in any length you need.
Routing is only possible to Osc2, so OscMix to the right completely. Maybe it's needed to disable Osc2 KBD Track.
Set the EnvMod Amount to a nice descending slope.
Also use an AmpAttack to [0] and the same Decay as the ModEnv. To get this values exact use the [Shift+LFO wave farm] combination which shows these values in the LCD screen as soon as you turn a knob. No Sustain and Release...
You can do the same to the Filter and FilternEnv.
Hope it is to any use.

Hey Wout.
I kinda guessed that the NL2 would not be able to do that, since there is nothing in the manual about it.
For the sounds: I've been playing around with the settings as you described, and it is giving me pretty much what I want. Just a matter of tweaking it to perfection now
Thanks for your help. _________________ The sound of a crow reverberates trough the mist. |
