Hello everyone.

Can someone please tell me what the peak-to-peak voltage of the Fatman's raw waveform is, preferably at pin 14 on IC10:D and/or pin 7 on IC13:B? I am planning to design some DIY wave shaping circuits for the VCOs, but I have no means of measuring the waveforms at this time (I lost most of my electronic and DIY gear including all my Fatman mods a couple of years ago to a flood and have yet to replace them).

I have searched the net extensively for this info to no avail. I have also sent emails to PAIA and have asked this question on 2 PAIA related sites with no reply (which I find rather odd).

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Why is this such a mystery? I assume that due to the way the 555 is implemented that the wave should be around 8 volts peak-to-peak, but that is only a best guess. Why is this otherwise simple bit of info so hard to come by?

ETA: It's also odd that Paia won't get back to me on this. I'm only interested in coming up with a couple new mods.

The output of the FatMan starts at the VCO which is powered by ground and -12 volts. So it varies from near zero down to near -12 volts. At the input to the VCF, it varies from 6v to -6v because the signal is passed through a capacitor. Hope that helps.
