I'm confused. Can a digital instrument really fall out of tune?

I've had the Wave for about 2 years now and its suddenly sliding all over the place. I'll get it in tune using the system menu's global semitone and fine-tune and matching it up w an ableton sine wave or whatev, but its not long before the thing is out again. And right now, it seems to be at a pitch that i can't correct...

I've never really been able to reach Nord rech support in the past.

What do people reccomend??

This problem reminds me of some reports about tuning problems with the Nord Modular G2 that was actually caused by a failing Pitch Stick sensor. I don’t have a Wave, but I think that there probably is a way to disable the pitch bend for a patch. Try that and see the tuning stabilizes. If so, then there is something wrong with the Pitch Stick. The failed Pitch Sticks in the G2 were caused by the strain gauge sensor detaching from the Pitch Stick assembly. The fix was to replace the whole assembly.

Already tried:

American Music & Sound

5304 Derry Avenue, Suite C
Agoura Hills, CA 91301
USA
Phone: +1 800 994 4984

The distributors mostly check the serial number if the synth is sold by them or not...
If not better phone them.
