Hello, I'm a noob to these forums and I'm a noob to keyboards. Does anyone know how I can connect my nord lead 3 to my macbook? I need to update its version. I have a firebox audio/midi interface, can run it through there. Please help, thanks!

welcome Urahara
Connect Midi Out to Midi In twice.
I don't know if the Updater works on Mac...
What NL3 OS are you running?

Thanks! Currently I'm running V1.08 and trying to install V1.2 I got a midi to usb driver but when I try to install it, the nord installer asks me to select the midi out and midi in and I can't select them on my mac for some reason. Don't know what's going?

Are you running any DAW or sequencer software that reserves the MIDI ports for itself?

They are there in a drop down menu? If so, I think Jan is right.

I figured it out, my midi adapter wasn't installed properly and thats why it wasn't picking up my keyboard. Thanks a lot for the help!

I have another question its a little off topic though. Bank number 8, program number 1 in my nord lead 3 doesn't stop if I press a key. I keeps going like a never ending loop. Do you guys know what the problem could, is it a glitch?

Could be a long Amp Release or the synth's Hold is active?

You are probably also a guitar player?
These muscians think only in Attack (hitting the strings) and call everything after that just 'Sustain!
A synth has a Sustain and a Release, and maybe Reverb too Very Happy
