The application period for participation in electro-music 2005 has passed and we have selected the participants. Thanks to everyone who volunteered. We have been overwhelmed by your talent and your generosity. We received more applications than we could accept which forced us to turn down some outstanding and very talented people - not because they were not good enough, but because of a mismatch with our focus.

We have an outstanding international group of speakers and performers. To see the list, click here.

As you can see, we have a very large list. There will be activities non-stop from eleven AM through midnight. At times there will be simultaneous sessions and performances. There will be an abundance of music making. The opportunity for jam sessions will be almost continuous. We have a space with a dedicated PA reserved for this. This is primarily a community event, more than a festival or a show.

One thing we can almost guarantee, this won't be a tedious or boring. Most performances will have less than one hour slots. We will be using two, sometimes three, venues at the Cheltenham Art Center. As soon as on performance is competed, the next one will start in another space. There will be almost no dead time.

We don't know of any other music conference that has used this exact format. In order to pull this off, virtually every attendee will be part of the team. This will be truly a community project. We are very excited.

Arrangements for catered meals at very reasonable prices have been made for those that wish not to leave the Art Center. Lunch (brunch) and dinner will be available. The food will be provided by Chef Geoff, already a legend on the Philadelphia electronic music scene. There will be music during the meal breaks as well.

Once again, thanks to our volunteer speakers and performers. Your generosity and enthusiasm is inspirational.

Warning: we only have room for 135 people including all of the speakers and performers. Tickets are selling very quickly. Be sure to order yours now before we sell out. Click on Ticket Information on the event's web site http://event.electro-music.com
