i used to use an aiwa minidisc as my main recorder. Although the quality was superb, it, like all md recorders, generated too much mechanical noise.

Since purchasing a vodafone 890n (smart 4) and after adding an external good quality mic, life in the field is all roses.
i can now easily record from the internal fm radio, when searching for unusual or interesting sounds.
