Monokit: Monolyth album released |
 |
|
Okay guys, the album that I mentioned a couple of months ago I was working on has just been released on the Nishi netlabel.
The style is what we call 'dark, twisted ambient and sound sculptures'. Nishi describes it as follows: Dutch/German duo Monokit offer up an album of compact emotional atmospheres. Monolyth allows you to explore 17 landscapes, ranging from the comforting to the unfaimilar to the downright unsettling, and still be back home within the hour. CDBaby reviews it as: Dark twisted ambient, drones, chill out IDM, soundtrack, all in a very organic deep mix, that sounds very strange and not from this world.
The creation of Monolyth took a long time, and a lot of different instruments were used, including the Andromeda and MOTM analog synths, the VSynth, NL3, Q and NordMod digital synths, Repeater loops, the RS7000 workstation and even some processed guitar parts. Some community NordMod sounds were used on this album, and I copyrighted them as such.
The album is available as a free download from our Nishi page:

Those looking for better audio quality with more dynamics, and nice crossfades between many of the tracks, Monolyth is also available as an audio cdrom from CDBaby:

Enjoy! |

I didn't post it there simply because I had no idea these places actually exist! I posted it here because I used NordMod sounds on the album, and promised the NordMod community to break the news the moment the album was released. So there it is.
You want me to 'fix' this? And if so, how? I still want the NordMod clan to see the message, including those that do not visit the other places of electro-music at a regular basis. |

take a ride of electro-music.com and you'll see many more things than you imagine you could move your post to the appropriate forum checking this option: Leave shadow topic in old forum. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube
