Hi all. I created Synthwire http://synthwire.blogspot.com a month ago for people to put up their stuff or anything related to synths that they wanted to. A few people have joined and have been putting up stuff, but it's been a little slow lately, so I thought I'd let more know about it.

Feel free to sign up and start posting stuff including links to websites you host, new content, synth stuff you find that interests you and so on. Anything as long as it's related to synths is ok.

If you want to post non synth related stuff there is sparkletrain.blogspot.com - you can find a link to it on synthwire on the right.

Oh, and this is open to anyone, including Sonic State, VSE, Electro-music.com, etc... I think too much stuff gets lost in the forums. I remember when I wanted to check out The Olde Oberheim Alley posts on the-gas-station. The thread was so long gone that it didn't even come up on the search engine. I thought it was lost for good, until I found it on thewaybackmachine that archives old websites. So, the blog should never go away. Thing of the posts as bookmarks for later. That's what http:matrixsynth.blogspot.com, link below is exactly for me. Stuff I come accross and don't want to lose to the ether. You'll notice lots of ebay shots grabbed, because again, once the auction history times out, it and those shots are gone forever unless of course the previous owner keeps it up somewhere for good, let alone even put it up somewhere after the auction is over. Just thoughts of how to save this stuff.

BTW, http://www.synthwiki.com is good as well, but it's more of an encyclopia where things should be acurate. On the blog it's more about posting and collecting stuff, not creating an encyclopedia. Sometimes the content will be innacurate until someone coments and corrects it, but... it will there hopefully saved forever.

And one last thing. : ) Don't steal content. If I find something on a site I always link to it for more. So the point is to grab a short overview and save/bookmark it, but if you want more detail then go to the source. This is good in that it drives more traffic to other sites including yours.

cheers,
matrix
