Random again

What I wanted was to introduce a degree of repetition to an otherwise random pattern. So that it might be perceived as more 'musical'. I am posting a single slot prf as the technique is slot dependent; it also stores tempo for master clock.
I have experimented with the recording mode of the note sequencer, but this idea is simpler. I use a clock divider connected to Clock Sync output, to determine the number of repetitions. The dividers output pulse is converted to a midi signal which 'presses' the Rnd button on the sequencer. The same pulse clocks a RndClkA, which via another midictlsend changes the sequence length. The notequant module, in combination with the value control (on the CtrlSend) allows selecting a minimum length and restricting the values to odd or even numbers.
Variation 1-3 uses the one shot sequencer mode, unused sequencer steps gate some other sounds via the sequencer link output, variation 4 is the same as 3 but uses loop mode so shorter sequence lengths repeat. Variation 5-8 are duplicates except they repeat 4 times, not 2.

Rounded off with some cliché retro synthesiser sounds.

You can also do this with the random pattern generator (new module in 1.2).
I'm working on a sequencer patch that will randomly generate repeating patterns. You can adjust things like the length, density, range, key, complexity etc.

Oh, this is nice. I've been listening to this for the past 20 minutes figuring out how the logic works. It's inspiring.
