I've heard this song a few times over the past 5 years (about). The song is similiar to something like Fat boy slim/crystal method-ish. I've searched very hard previewing tons of music from cdnow.com.

I'm offering a $10 reward to the first person who can get me the title of the song, I know $10 isn't a lot but atleast you know I'll pay you if you can get me the correct track name. I'll send the money via paypal.

Anyways, here is what I know about the song. I am positive it has been used once before on a commercial for Law and Order (television show). and I'm pretty sure it has been used in a movie where a row of characters are walking in slow motion towards the camera (acting all bad and stuff). I can hear the beat in my head and I can hear the vocals but I can't make out what lyrics he is actually speaking.

Here is the link to the .mp3 I've uploaded, this is my best attempt on how to represent what the song sounds like. You don't understand how happy I will be if someone can get me the name of this song. Thank you very much.

welcome MrOlaf

I sympathize with you. I had a melody running though my head for years I couldn't connect with the source. Turns out I just wasn't asking the right people. It was written by Mozart. A piano teacher identified it for me, but I've forgotten the pieces name now... Crying or Very sad

I wish I could help because I know how frustrating it feels.

Ha ha... At first I was going to ask you to remove the music because we don't host copyrighted music here, but after hearing it, I think ASCAP or the RIAA won't go after us... Laughing

I highly doubt it's anything classical, It doesn't sound anything like that and the vocals repeat themselves so they are more of a loop than lyrics really. We from what atleast I heard. I hope I didn't make you mad by posting a $10 reward, I just wanted to get people involved, I'm sure there are other people out there besides myself that have heard this song. Since I am positive it was used as background music for a commercial of law and order I wonder if there is a way to track it down like that?

I've waited long enough, I don't want to leave this reward open. So I'm no longer offering the $10 reward. Sorry :-\

MrOlaf,

sirius7971 has sent you this email from http://adtunes.com/forums/forums.html.

I think the song you're looking for is Lo Fidelity Allstars' Battleflag. I hope this helps:)

Glad you got a response. Two questions:

Did someone on that forum see your post here?

Is that the correct song?

After I stopped the contest here, I kinda gave up and was searching for a commercial I saw the day of the super bowl (I still can't find it, it the commercial where the old lady in the car pulls up to a parking lot toll booth and the toll booth operator yells Go! Go! Go! and she freaks out and smashes through the toll booth arm and it shows the operator bewildered and then it says want to see the rest of this commercial go here www.xxxxxxx.com) I was trying to find that website. Anyways, by doing google searches looking for this commercial I found adtunes.com which is a website basically devoted to my problem, along with another smaller website called whatsthatcalled.com Anyways after I ended the contest here I posted the same quesiton on adtunes and whatthatcalled.com adtunes being much more popular I actually got someone who thinks they heard the song before. and today I get that e-mail and yes it is the right song. Infact here is what I replied to that email I posted earlier.

Oh my god, This IS the song. I can't tell you how happy I am. what is your paypal email address so I may e-mail you the $10.
When I started listening to the song and it slowly came to the part where I remember (although slightly skewed probalby due to my memory over the years) my eyes actually began to tear up.especailly the part of the song around 3:25. You've totally made my day.
I'd only hear the song maybe like once every 2 years and only for seconds and finally you have discovered this mystery for me. Thank You so much from the depths of my heart.
How did you find this song anyways?

Kevin aka MrOlaf,
