Hi all,

I've run into a problem with the clocked delay module.
I want to delay a trigger/gate signal and delay that signal trough
a chain of clocked delays, but it seems like the min amount
to make this work is 3 clock pulses.

Check the attached patch.
There's a gate signal delayed by 4 pulses and another one also by 4.
If you change the second clocked delay to 2 pulses you don't hear
the delay anymore. Any reason for this and is there a workaround?

thanks!

Looks like racing, the clock edge is advancing the delay before the output of the event sequencer goes high. Strange how it works with later steps.
If you put a logic delay before each clock input it works with a setting of 2. Putting the two delay modules in parallel requires only one logic delay but you probably have a good reason for wanting them in serial.

Thanks g2ian!

Yep, there's a reason for the serial connection.
I want to make a sequencer-structure were 1 trigger signal
produces another clock-delayed trigger signal, that signal another one and so on...
You should be able to shift sequences easy by giving a bigger/smaller clock delay to a
trigger and every trigger should also have a rnd-trigger option.
I thought it would be easy with a bunch of clocked delays and random triggers
but it seems like it's not Sad

Is there another way to make something like this?

Mother Misty,

How about using a 2nd sequencer which is not looped, to be triggered (reset) by the trigger of the 1st sequencer. I use this technique all the time. To make the trigger random, just put rnd trigger module which is fed by the 2nd sequencer's gate output - You can even use a level sequencer for the 2nd sequencer, and use the level value to indicate the probability of that step.

Is that the effect you are going for? Of course you'd need more sequencers if you want each to trigger the next.
