Metal, glass and water Subject description: Found sound percussive recordings |
|
|
Here are some sounds I found.
They are recorded with percussion sampling in mind, to use in a different kind of drum kit. I have done several hits for variation in sounds.
Materials used:
A big basin of water
Drinking glasses
A few metal serving dishes, rather large
A metal bowl
Recorded with a Sony stereo mic and Dat recorder. Converted to 320 kbps mp3.
I have some more recordings from this session which I'll add to this thread later. It would be interesting to see what people make of these if they end up using them, so please let me know if you do.

These may very well find their way into an Ephemera... they look perfect for making models on the Neuron. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Thank you both! You have encouraged me to find more bits from that session, so here hey are...
I have edited these files to make them shorter, and cleaned up the recording somewhat.
Otherwise I have left them untouched so that you can make your own decisions about what to do with them.
mp3, 320 kbps, recorded under the same conditions as above.
