I think Howard´s report from his latest conversation with R on the phone is quite telling. Not that Howard actually comes up with new information on R, we knew this already.. but Howard confirms that R truly is something else.

There is also a kind of positive side to all this venting. We have of sorts agreed on some kind of common understanding of the universe.

.. not that we were disagreeing before.. but when the R flavored reality warping set in.. hello! Shocked

I'm sorry, I was totally pissed yesterday by this whole situation, probably most so because of feeling utterly powerless to turn this into anything good.

When message after message was coming in into this thread first I thought it to be sort of funny or useful, then something snapped, and my head turned red. I typed a letter of resignation for Howard even, I just wanted out of this fucked up situation. I didn't send it BTW.

I do think that the Randal threads that are going on in the background are useful for venting off, but also I do think that it's inevitable that this situation will backfire onto the forum. For this we can not blame Randal only, we also have to blame ourselves for it, the way we are unable to deal with the situation.

I still feel fucked up and powerless but we need to solve this and venting doesn't solve a thing (neither does getting fucked up of course).

We are very close to seeing an end to this. I think Howard is working on something right now. I hope we can take a look at the drafts soon.

First of all, if we stay away from even addressing R´s versions of the reality, but stick to our version of this and follow the timeline for the QFG PCB, his very twisted PMs before all this kinda started, even his attempts to backstab Scott and others way way back, and then all the lies.. what are we left with?

If we close the QFG sales thread now, announce that all of R´s business, marketing and sales will be handled by R himself from his company website.. then we should have solved everything.

I think banning him would be natural as well.

One issue that has come up again and again has been that if we ban him, then we might be responsible for his customers not ever receiving the PCBs. This feels like a valid argument, but I really don´t think it is. We have no control over R and neither has R himself. He should return the money or deliver working PCBs. But we cannot force him to do this.

So far the only noticeable result to come of this is that R now thinks he can call Howard and beg for mercy and understanding. Shocked

Howard really doesn´t need R on his back.

Anyways, we are like this close to solving this problem. Then there will be no more venting and no more posts in the R-related threads ever.
