Hi
New to this forum, and many great posts.
Just a simple question as I have just bought a working NL1 but cant get the pitch bend or modulation wheel to do anything.
Is there a global on/off for the pitch bend and modulation wheel, or am I missing something simple.

cheers

bj

ok, i figured out that the modulation wheel only works in performance mode, pleased with that.
Still no joy with the pitch bend / stick - reading up it seems it may be faulty, screwdriver poised and going in......

The Wheel and the Stick have to work in both Program and Performance mode...

Check the connections of both devices to the motherboard.

To open up the synth see thread

hmmmm... thanks Wout

connections all seem ok, contact cleaned them, now neither work in either mode!
I read elsewhere on the forum that re-loading all the ROM sounds can restore the pitch bend?

All the keys and other buttons work, and all the sounds are great.

It came expanded, and all voices are working - but when the card that came with it is loaded in the pcmcia socket, sometimes the sound will not change when scrolling up and down the presets. When the card is removed it works ok again.

Bit concerned by this now, think it needs a service, anyone recommend somewhere for service and parts in the (north east) UK?

cheers

That's of no use, because ROM sounds are not upload able in their memory locations (It's ROM!)

Does the numbers in the LCD change? If so, it could mean a program is saved more then once...

I'm sure it needs a good check up! No recommendation for the USA, I'm afraid.
