MIDI thru...nord rack. Subject description: do i have to keep turning it on and off? |
 |
|
hi,
i was told by a wise man, that in order to stop my nord rack from notes sticking...
to enable midi filter thru.....
doing this..(and having only 4 midi channels in the project designated for the Nord only) has solved the notes hanging somewhat....
but when midi thru filter is on...i cant play any instrument with the keyboard....
surely i dont have to turn it off to record...and turn it back on for playback...?
hope you know what i mean..hope you can tell me away around this..

hi drumfish,
do you mean you have fx unit on a midi thru chain with the nord???
if so..you need to designate a master sync machine....
should be computer..master to nord..master to fx...

hi svoboda ... i have a master midi clock wich is the machinedrum ... it goes like this : machinedrum midi out to monomachine midi in ------- monomachine midi out to modular g2 midi in ----- monomachine midi thru to nord rack midi in ------ & the machinedrum drives the nord rack trhu the monomachine as i keep the 6 midi tracks of the monomachine to drive my nord modular .... it looks confusing but it's not ...i think i solved the issue .... i'll need a midi merger to change the nord rack midi out for a midi thru beacause all my midi outs drives the machine straight after & the midi thru drives the machine besides ... i hope i didn't give you a headacke with my frenglish |
