Hi everyone
I was wondering which doepfer filters other than the moog 24db clone that people like? I have been looking at the Buchla clone Lpg and the SSM 24db clone and was wondering what anyone thought about these two.
Cheers nick

I love the the Doepfer low pass gate, and use it all the time, sometimes after another filter, just to get that special sound. Another great Doepfer filter is the A 101-1 Vactrole multi filter, that even can work as a sort of filter mixer, offering different inputs for LP, BP and HP parts. But non of them sound like a moog ladder, it that is your ideal of a filter sound.

you might want to check this 'shootout' where lots of doepfer filters are compared

I love the A-124 Wasp filter. I use it in most of my patches. Can sound smooth or nasty. By default it doesn't self oscillate but there is a mod you can do to make it do so if you like.

i had not heard about that mod yet but my guess is that for this particular mod you'd have to know exactly what you're doing because the 'default' wasp design is not as solid as some of the other filter designs (according to a guy i know who repairs synths)
