Ahhck. I was using +/- 12V power. Switched to 15V and things are looking up. The FET is muting the noisy filters. It's still kind of dirty sounding, but I guess that's the real deal.

My only remaining problem is I built the cowbell on the same board as the rimshot (because I'm going to shove them both inside my FR6M) and now the cow oscillators are bleeding into the noise gate envelope. Not sure how I can mitigate the oscillator noise.

These are really weird, counterintuitive circuits. It's like an insane recipe made with nasty ingredients, and it turns out not just nice, but absolutely classic.

Okay, these are now mounted in the FR6M.
Now I am sad, because the FR6M's cowbell is quite nice.
So I'm going to need to be able to mix the old and new sounds.
