In-browser video synthesizer (work in progress) Subject description: I am an audiodsp expert wanting to get into videodsp. audiodsp + videodsp = audiovisualdsp |

Hello. This is Soundemote. I would like to offer electro-music community (as well as the wider video synth community) a digital platform to experiment, share patches, and discoveries in the world of video synthesis.
soundemote.io
Right now I have soundemote sandbox in a mostly working state. The biggest problem is not having established video i/o for my video modules. It's a UI/UX problem more than a technical problem. If you have ideas on how to build out the engine to support all the lovely video synthesis methods and circuit bending video jockeys and experimenters do, let me know.
WORKING
✅ feedback routing / circuit bending
✅ delay
✅ phosphor oscilloscopes
✅ audio/analog signals (the main method of transfer)
✅ video/digital signals (implemented but not really used, just need ideas)
✅ LCD display (see number readout module)
✅ video i/o
WORK IN PROGRESS
⚠️ app video recording/output to other platforms
⚠️ multimeters
⚠️ Light physics
⚠️ Shader toy like UI with audio-reactive control (https://www.shadertoy.com/)
⚠️ CLAP/VST/AU plugin
VIDEO DEMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU7UMRYn5p4
LONG TERM GOAL (make this possible): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3eHKI0nvKA
SHORT TERM GOAL/PROOF (finish emulation): https://modulargrid.net/e/mfb-vd-01-videoscope
LIVE DEMO: https://soundemote.io/patch/videoscope
* Let me know if the live demo doesn't work, I've not had much beta testing and the UI/UX will undoubtedly be broken in places, as well as modules that only half-work because I didn't fully test.
(i just noticed the videoscope settings are broken, will fix and update later today)

Adding R G B indicators (they don't actually output anything other than 0 to 1 signals, it is purely aesthetic or color coding, you can send red anywhere you want for example, it's just a helpful visual aid that I will allow turning off and also customizing, and no module yet accepts analog as video signals, ill make a CTR module or something, unless someone has a better idea, still trying to figure it out)

soundemote, to electro-music.com Good to have you here.
I am not familiar with video synthesizers, but I have some experience in building web app synthesizers. I'm also interested in expanding the capabilities of electro-music.com.
Some members here are producing Youtube videos of their own compositions with video, sometimes generated with video synthesis programs. They are sharing these videos with us by links to youtube; other video hosting sites as well. We're reluctant to host videos here because it requires considerable resources; storage, bandwidth, processing, etc.
Web app video synthesizers seems like a natural solution for this. What do you think of the possibility of expanding our radio players to optionally include visuals generated by the web player itself, maybe using your video synthesizer?
It seems like a natural fit to me. I know you're still in development, but when you are ready, and if you are up for experimenting in this direction, please let me know. I have a hunch there are some electro-musicians that would find this interesting... _________________ --Howard

(as my computer struggles to record and synthesize analog modelled dreams)
will be fully featured (able to move/position/trigger/blend/rotate/stretch)

Excellent. The next upgrade to electro-music will allow video streaming. We can host web apps. We host music. It looks to me like a lot of possibilities. Let's experiment. _________________ --Howard
